Do I need to be referred by a doctor? It is not always necessary to obtain a Doctor’s referral but in all cases your Physiotherapist will work closely with your GP and, if necessary, keep them advised of any treatment given. If you are claiming your fees through a medical insurance scheme some companies require referral by your Doctor or Consultant. Please speak to your insurance provider to check their procedures before contacting us to arrange treatment.
The human body is amazingly versatile but some of us push our bodies to the limits. For others it is the march of time which changes the way our joints and muscles cope with what we ask them to do but, either way, pain and discomfort can result. Below are some of our broad areas of expertise but for more detail please explore our interactive skeleton. If you would like to discuss a condition not listed on this page please contact us for more information. Back Pain: general back pain, slipped disc, disc derangement/dysfunction, pelvic dysfunctions, sciatic pain. Joint Assessment: arthritis, pain/swelling, stiffness or injury to joints, frozen shoulders, tennis elbow. Post-Op: rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery, such as hip and knee replacements etc. Fractures: treatments to regain full function after fractures.
